What information does CycleGrampian collect from me?
The only personally identifiable information we collect from our website is e-mail addresses. These are supplied, voluntarily, by site visitors who wish to receive communications from us, for example our newsletter.
If you e-mail us directly, or write to us we may retain other personnel identifiable information e.g. name, address etc to allow us to respond to you, and to contact you in the future.
What non-personally identifiable information does CycleGrampian collect from me?
The CycleGrampian website does not use cookies. However Cycle Grampian does gathers information on all users of our site on an aggregated basis from our log files.
How does CycleGrampian use my information?
CycleGrampian uses the personally identifiable information we collect about you from your voluntary submissions to send you communications that may be of interest to you. Our newsletter is only sent to those who have requested to be included in our mailing list.
The non-personally identifiable information is used to determine what improvements we can make to the site. This information is used to analyse what the total usage levels are for the site, what areas of the site are most popular and what times of the day are most popular for using the site. In addition, we may share this information with our clients or potential clients and our partners, but only on an aggregated basis with no individual breakdown, so they receive no information about how you, as an individual, use the site, nor will they be able to identify you personally from the information they receive.
Who is collecting your information?
When you are on the CycleGrampian website and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with CycleGrampian alone unless stated otherwise. For example, when you are purchasing books from our website you are going through to the Amazon.co.uk website and it is clear when you are leaving our site and going through to the Amazon site.
With whom does CycleGrampian share your information?
As a general rule, CycleGrampian will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information, except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it. CycleGrampian does not sell or rent visitor information to anyone.

We will endeavour to remove you from our distribution within 5 working days. Please note however, that depending on the timing of your request and newsletter issue dates you may receive a further copy before your name is removed from the list.

- Email us and advising of your new details - see our Contact Details page for e-mail details, or
- Unsubscribe yourself using your old e-mail address and resubscribe yourself using your new e-mail address using the box shown on the right of this page.
How does CycleGrampian protect my personal identifiable information?
CycleGrampian is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect the individual identifying information that you provide to us. When you give CycleGrampian personal information we take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, CycleGrampian cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
